Summary - In a move to promote online cybersecurity learning to the masses, EC-Council's CodeRed has partnered with Alison.

EC-Council's CodeRed division is proud to announce its publishing partnership with Alison to promote cybersecurity learning. On the one hand, CodeRed is a part of EC-Council — the world's largest cybersecurity technical certification body. On the other hand, Alison is one of the world's largest free-to-use online learning and empowerment platforms.

The first educational fruit to be borne of this union is the Hands-On Android Security online course by CodeRed. Other courses posted on the Alison platform include Identity and Access Management, Black Hat Python: Python for Pentesters, and Secure Full Stack MEAN Stack Developer. All these programs have been developed in partnership with CodeRed and certified by EC-Council.

The Hands-On Android Security course starts with the core concept of the Android operating system, native applications, and hardware security components. The course will help users learn how to analyze existing Android apps, test their work to ensure full security compliance, and understand vulnerabilities within the Android environment. There are over 3 million Android apps in the market, so data security and penetration testing are important. The course offers an introduction to the world of Android, and it also covers various software and tools that can be used to test and protect apps against attackers.

"Cybersecurity learning and training is important for professionals to protect the company and themselves against cyber threats and attacks. The threat landscape is different for every industry and enterprise. With Alison, we want to reach the masses and help them understand the nuances of cybersecurity through our online courses," - Jay Bavisi, CEO of EC-Council Group.

While talking about the first course developed out of this partnership, a spokesperson for Alison said, "With almost three-quarters of smartphones being Android devices, compared to 26% being iOS devices, this course will be a welcome learning resource for the Android developer community. It covers the tools and software needed to test and protect apps from hackers."
